Feet First Families Friday
On Friday 19th October we held our first 'Feet First Families' day an initiative started by Sustrans. Children walked, scooted, cycled and ran to school with their families and when they arrived at school were able to join in with the activities set up in the playground. The obstacle course and bike and scooter area were very popular with children, parents and teachers all taking part.
The PTA kindly provided tea, coffee and biscuits for all parents who came to school in an active way. It is great to see the children being active in and out of school. The eco council were happy to see a reduction in traffic that day as well. Next week will be our first draw of the 'feet first families' stamps, with a few lucky pupils winning a prize for walking to school and being active at the weekend.
Thank you to all families who got involved!
