Primary 7 pupils celebrated their annual Titanic Day in school on Tuesday 8 April. All of the children attended school in authentic period costume including the finest of clothes in First Class, rough and ready members of Third Class and members of the ship’s crew.
A Titanic passenger parade took place around the school before Afternoon Tea was served for break. Pupils also heard from some of Titanic’s famous passengers, found out the story and research behind Nicola Pierce’s novel ‘Spirit of the Titanic’ and recreated the final hours in comic book version using iPads.
Congratulations to Sophia Gibson, Lucy Allen and Abbie Tughan who were the winners of our Titanic Day ticket competition and received special signed editions of our class novel from the author.
