World Book Day is always a great event at Pond Park and the children celebrate their love of reading by getting involved in a variety of fun packed activities throughout the week.
The theme of World Book Day 2019 was ‘Share A Story’ and each class had the opportunity to team up with a ‘book buddy’ from a different class and read to each other. P6 children welcomed pupils from Pond Park Nursery to share stories and discuss the picture books.
Pupils also designed and created a bookmark related to the World Book Day theme and winning designs will be chosen and printed for each pupil within the Key Stage.
P6 Coulter led our World Book Day Assembly this year by sharing some of their favourite books and characters as well as performing and singing for the whole school!
